The boys.

“A guerilla force of blue-collar guides” are the blunt words Kurt uses to describe the archetype of hard working country boys whose careers are an intrinsic property of the Wyoming Fishing Company. On the waters we originate from, the competition is something made of a David and Goliath type tale and what our crew has done to set ourselves apart is a simple concept materialized through hard work. Since Day One, the WFC crew has prioritized excellent service and profound results above all else; leaving the fanciest of equipment and the lavish setting of a fly store for those who prioritize results as a tertiary.
This commitment (and it’s subsequent success) has laid the groundwork for WYAK Outfitters to form and it’s from this stock that our Alaskan crew is comprised. Meet our guides; a rowdy bunch of a small town river-roughnecks who sport the heart of a teacher and a determination to provide you with the most profoundly memorable experience possible.

Ryan “RyHud” Hudson
Co-Owner/Operator here at WYAK, RyHud began his professional career in fly fishing at 13. He left his home in Missouri to guide the western trout waters of Wyoming, where he built and currently operates the Wyoming Fishing Company. Along with a select team of his guides from the WFC, Ryan has began building WYAK Outfitters – to offer exclusive Waterfowl and Fishing opportunities to a substantial following of clients from around the world.
Stuart “Stu” Birdsong
On the other side of the Ownership Coin at WYAK is Stu; a guest star guide at the WFC with a notable following of faithful clientele and an unmatched fishing prowess. Stu has been guiding western trout waters and BC steelhead waters for quite some time and is excited be a part of this venture into the Alaskan wilderness!

Kurt Cantu
Kurt grew up in Alaska, fishing and hunting the south-central peninisula until he relocated to the “lower 48” with his family at highschool age. His time in Wyoming has brought him to the WFC as a guide and media content creator. He is also a writer and photographer and, his work can be found on his digital publication; Authentically Wild Out West.
